Best Place to Stay in Santa Fe, NM

The best place to stay in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in our book, is The Inn of the Alameda located within blocks of the world famous Canyon Road street of Art Galleries, along the Santa Fe River and a few short blocks from downtown, this resort is quiet and peaceful and extremely clean.

We had the good luck to be able to exit our busy lives and take a time out for a pre-Valentine's weekend and loved every moment.

After checking in we walked a few blocks into town for dinner, after which we had a lovely soak in their deep and thoroughly relaxing hot tub a few doors down from our room The hot tub seats four and for a tall person (almost 6 ft) it was amazingly comfortable with plenty of leg room and well spaced out jets. Under the winter skies of Santa Fe, we watched the stars and soaked our troubles away.

The bed was the ultimate luxury. No sooner did we lay down than we were fast asleep. Our little casita was quintessential Santa Fe without being too much.

Early the next morning, as Ted headed for the free continental breakfast, I got a chance to check out their exercise room. Well lit and ventilated, equipment in excellent condition. They have a treadmill, a cross trainer, and an exercise bike in addition to a diverse selection of free weights and an all in one weight training station.

Walking through the building to the exercise room I couldn't help but notice how well kept and even new looking and clean smelling the whole building felt. A quality experience.

We enjoyed this peaceful break so much that we wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting the Santa Fe area.
